Faridpur: Two co-artistes of singer Nokul Kumar Biswas were killed and three other people were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Brahmanpara area of Bhanga upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased are Wahid Uddin Sujat, in his thirties, and Mosharraf Hossain, around 37 years old.

The accident took place around 9:45am when a Dhaka- bound microbus carrying them hit road divider due to dense fog, leaving two co-artistes of Nokul Kumar dead on the spot, said Mohammad Ejajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Faridpur Highway Police Station.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered two bodies.

Two of the injured are—Dipok and Nimay.

The injured were taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

Among the injured, Dipok’s condition was critical, said hospital’s surgeon Arjun Kumar.
