Man injured as wall collapses in Chawkbazar

Dhaka: A rickshaw puller was injured as a wall of an old building, which was being demolished, collapsed on a street in Chawkbazar area in Dhaka on Saturday night.
Injured Sabuj Mia, in his fifties, was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for treatment, Mohammad Mahfuz, station officer Fire Service and Civil Defense Control room.
The wall of the building collapsed on a yellow cab which was standing on Harnath Ghosh Road near Royal Hotel at 10:13pm, he added.
On information, four units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
The building was being torn down when parts of the wall collapsed on the street, witnesses said.
