Chittagong: Two people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between an oil tanker and a truck in Choto Kamaldah area of Mirsharai upazila of on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as truck driver Md Abdul Kashem, hailing from Feni and security guard Md Kashem.

Mohammad Jasim, deputy assistant director of Sitakundu fire service, said the accident took place when the oil tanker collided head-on with the truck while overtaking each other around 7:00am, leaving one dead on the spot and three others injured.

Among the injured, another died on the way to hospital.
