Sirajganj: Two people were killed and another was injured as a truck hit another stationary one on Banghabandhu Bridge West road in Konabari area of Kamarkhanda upazila in Sirajganj early on Friday.

The deceased are Golam Mostafa, in his twenties, of  Ulatta village and Ekhlas, a resident of Shikor village of Kahalu upazila in Bogra village.

Mohammad Daud, officer-in-charge of Banghabandhu Bridge West Police Station, said that the accident took place around 5:00am when the truck hit the stationary truck in front of Konabari Shahidul Bulbul College, leaving Mostafa and Ekhlas dead on the spot and truck driver Abu Bakkar injured.
