Dhaka: A massive fire broke out at a slum in Mirpur 12 section of Dhaka in the early hours of Monday.

Hundreds shanties were gutted in the fire broke out at Ilias Ali Molla slums.

The fire service control room duty officer Mahfuzur Rahman told NTV Online being informed several units of fire fighters rushed to the spot. Around 21 units of fire fighters doused the flame at about 7:22am.

However, any casualty was not reported yet. The amount of damaged has not been measured yet, said Mahfuzur Rahman.
