Sylhet: Thirteen Nepalese students of Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College and Hospital in Sylhet were among the victims of the US-Bangla aircraft that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of the Himalayan country on Monday.

The Nepali medical students were going to their homeland on a two-month vacation on completion of their MBBS final examination, Fazlur Rahman, assistant director of Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College and Hospital said, reports the UNB.

‘Medical Collage consultants of Nepal have sent us a list of 13 students but what actually happened to them after the crash is yet to be confirmed,’ said Fazlur Rahman.

The 19^th batch students of the medical college are Sanjay Poudel, Sanjaya Maharjan, Neega Maharjan, Anjila Shrestha, Purnima Lohani, Shweta Thapa, Meeli Maharjan, Saruna Shrestha, Algina Baral , Charu Baral, Samira Byanjankar, Ashna Shakya, Princy Dhami.

At least 50 people died as an aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines from Dhaka to Kathmandu crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of the Himalayan country on Monday. Many injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
