Chittagong: A passenger of CNG-run auto-rickshaw was killed and another injured as a train hit the vehicle at a level crossing in Patia municipal area on Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Moin Uddin Prokash Jasim, in his thirties, a resident of Dakhshin Gobindakhil area of Patia upazila.

Kefayet Ullah, officer-in-charge of Patia Police Station, said the accident took place as the running train hit the auto-rickshaw around 8am, leaving Jasim dead on the spot and another injured.
