Pabna: Three local farmers of Manikhat union in Sujanagar upazila were killed in lighting strike on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Dulal, Hossain, 40, son of Muktar Sheikh of Bikramaditto village in Manikhat union, Abdul Alim, 32, son of Aziz Molla and Loim Uddin, 50, son of Moktar Ali of same area, reports the UNB.

Senior assistant police superintendent of (Sujanagar circle), Md Farhad Hossain said the trio went to collect onion in the field at Hathali Mouza area while the thunderbolt struck and killed them on the spot.

Later, on Saturday morning locals spotted their bodies on the field and informed police, he said.
