Mymensingh: Three people were killed as a bus hit a stationary truck in Habirbari Seedstore bazar in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday morning.

Two of the deceased are Tofayel Ahmmed, in his twenties, from Sadar upazila and Faruk Ahmmed, from Ishwarganj upazila.

Rakibul Hasan, in-charge of Bhaluka fire service, said the accident took place around 7:30am when the driver of Mymensingh-bound bus ‘Soukhin Paribahan’ lost control over the steering and hit the truck, leaving the passengers dead on the spot and five others injured.

The injured were admitted to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex.
