2 killed as rider loses control of motorcycle in Hatirjheel

Dhaka: Two motorcycle riders were killed as the driver lost his control over the bike in Hatirjheel area of Dhaka in the early hours of Tuesday.
The deceased are Hedayetullah, in his twenties, and his friend, Habibullah, around 24 years old.
The Badda police officer-in-charge (OC) Kazi Wazed Ali said Hedayetullah, used to work in a private organization as civil engineer, also a resident of Shat Rasta in Tejgaon, while his friend Habibullah was a resident of Gazipur.
Habibullah came to visit his friend and two of them went to roam around the Hatijheel area on the motorcycle. Both of them did not wear any helmets. At one moment, Hedayetullah lost his control over the steering and the bike hit with an island near Hatirjheel’s bridge no 4 at about 4:30am. The riders received injuries on their heads and dead on the spot.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
