Khulna: Two people were killed and two others injured when a truck hit a human-hauler on Khulna-Bagerhat road at Jabusa intersection in Rupsa upazila on Monday.

The deceased are Isa, 34, and his son Bony, 12, of Hazirabad village in Batiaghata upazila.

Ibrahim Hossain, sub-inspector of Rupsa Police Station, said the Khulna-bound truck from Bagerhat smashed the human-hauler around 4:30pm, leaving two killed on the spot and two others, including its driver, injured.

Injured human-hauler driver Abdus Sattar, 40, and its passenger Poly Begum, 26, wife of Isa were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
