At least two people were killed and another was injured in a landslide at Boroitoli Manjurpara in Naikhongchhari upazila in Bandarban district on Monday.

Jahangir Aziz Chowdhury, chairman of Ghumdum union council, said a chunk of mud collapsed on them around 11:00am while they were cutting a portion of a hill for making a way for rainwater drainage, leaving four dead on the spot and one injured.

The injured was taken to Naikhongchhari upazila health complex.

Three firefighting units were working to recover the bodies.
