Comilla: Three people including a woman were killed and four others injured as a covered van hit them at Gauripur Bazar of Daudkandi upazila in Comilla on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The identity of the deceased could not be immediately ascertained.

Daudkandi highway police officer-in-charge Abdul Awal said the accident took place when a covered van crashed on several pedestrians as its driver lost control at about 12:30pm, leaving three people dead and four others injured at the scene.

Three of the injured were taken to a local hospital while the other was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC added.
