2 burned alive as Khalishpur Meghna oil depot catches fire

Khulna: At least two people were burned to death and nine others suffered burn injuries as a fire broke out at Meghna Oil Depot in the city’s Khalishpurarea on Monday morning.
SonaliSen, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Khulna Metropolitan Police, said the fire broke out in the morning, leaving two people dead and nine others injured.
The deceased were identified as Raju and Kamal, employees of the depot.
Nine units of fire service rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after one hour of frantic efforts.
Tank-Lorry workers’ union general secretary EnamMohsin said the fire broke out while loading diesel and octane into a lorry.
