Gaibandha: At least three people were killed including a mother and her child as a bus crushed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Chaumatha area on Dhaka-Rangpur Highway in Polashbari upazila in the district.

The victims’ names could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Highway Police Station, Abul Basar said a Dhaka bound bus of Zarin Paribahan hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw around 4:30 pm at Chaumatha area killing three people including a woman and her child on the spot.

Police seized the bus but its driver managed to flee, he said.
