Return hajj flights start Monday
The return hajj flight to bring back the Bangladeshi pilgrims from Saudi Arabia will begin on Monday.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines managing director (PR)Shakil Meraj told UNB that the first return hajj flight of the state-run carrier is scheduled to land at Shahjalal International Airport at 10:10pm with 419 pilgrims.
The airlines will operate flights till September 26 to carry the pilgrims back to the country, he said.
This year, a total of 1,27,198 pilgrims – 7,198 under government management and 1,20,000 under private management – went to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj from Bangladesh.
