Dinajpur: A truck loader was killed when a stack of gunny bag fell on him at the central truck terminal at Battali in Dinajpur on Thursday morning.

Kotwali police said the worker, jewel Roy, in his twenties, was unloading goods.

All of a sudden, a big stack of gunny bag rolled down and he was buried under that heavy stack.

Jewel was taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries hours later.

Jewel Roy was a son of Laksman Roy of Gopalganj village under Sadar upazila.

An unnatural death (UD) case was filed with the Kotwali police in this connection.
