Dhaka: A construction worker was killed falling off an under-construction multi-stored building at Matuail Mridhabari of Jatrabari in the city on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, 28, son of Moyez Uddin of Jamtola Bazar village in Kurigram district.

The incident took place at around 11:00 am when Sirajul was working on the second floor of the building.

Later, Sirajul was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with serious injuries where he died around 4:00 pm, said DMCH police camp in-charge SI Bachchu Mia.

The body was kept at DMCH morgue for post mortem.
