Sunamganj: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said that the government would be able to say whether or not the upcoming national election would be held under a non-partisan and neutral government.

The CEC said this on Saturday while having a views-exchange meeting with local journalists at Jubilee High School playground in the district, reports the UNB.

The CEC said Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be used in the next national election in small scale.

He said the EC has sent a letter to the government requesting the necessary amendment to concerned law to facilitate EVM use.

Meanwhile, the CEC also visited a development fair in the district town. Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Ahad and Superintendent of Police Md Barkatullah Khan were present.
