Naogaon road crash leaves 3 dead

Naogaon: Three people were killed in a motorbike crash on Naogaon-Patnitala highway in Patnitala upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Abdus Salam, 54, his son Towfiq Islam, 27, of Mahadebpur upazila and Mohammad Rony, 26, son of Wahed Master of Patnitala upazila, reports the UNB.

Parimol Kumar Chakrawarty, officer-in-charge of Patnitala Police Station, said the accident took place around 12:30 pm when a Sapahar-bound truck from Naogaon hit the bike carrying three people, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police seized the truck and arrested its driver Golam Mostafa.
