Natore: A woman was killed when a bus knocked down her at Chandpur in Sadar uapzila on Wednesday.

The deceased Mamtaz Begum was a vegetable vendor, reports the UNB.

Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the accident took place in the area when a bus hit her while crossing the road in the morning on her way to a wholesale vegetable market, leaving her dead on the spot.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue.
