Rangamati: Two minor boys drowned in a pond at Kaptai Lake in Langdu upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Sayeem, 3, son of Md Abdul Jabbar and Minhaj, 3, son of Saidul Islam of the area, reports the UNB.

Quoting locals, Ranjan Kumar Samanta, officer-in-charge (OC) of Langdu Police Station, said the two kids fell into the lake while playing and locals recovered the bodies around 12 noon.

Later, they were taken to Langdu Hospital where doctor declared them dead, the OC added.
