Mymensingh: The train communication of Mymensingh with Netrakona remained snapped following the derailment of a local train at Gouripur station in Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.

Mymensingh Railway police (GRP) officer-in-charge Abdul Ahad said two compartments including the locomotive of the Mymensingh-bound local train from Mohanganj in Netrakona veered off the track while the train was entering the station at about 12:30pm.

The train communication between the two districts remained cut off since the derailment, said Abdul Ahad.
