Boy dies falling off train roof in Gazipur
Gazipur: A boy was killed and two others injured falling off the roof of a train engine when it collided with another train parked at Joydebpur railway station on Tuesday.
The deceased was Mamun, 10, son of Kashem Miah of Phulpur upazila of Mymenshigh, reported UNB.
Officials of Joydebpur railway station said the accident took place around 7:30pm when the engine of Turag Express, which arrived from Rajshahi, collided with Durotojan Express, which was parked across the track at that time.
The train engine was running on the wrong track and the three boys, who were riding on its roof, fell off.
Mamun died on the spot while two others were badly injured in the accident.
On information, a team of Government Railway Police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue.
The injured were taken to a hospital.
