Khulna’s rail links snapped
Khulna: Khulna’s train communication with rest of Bangladesh remained suspended since Tuesday morning after state-owned jute mills workers blocked the railway.
‘No train left the city or arrived here since 6am,’ said Manik Chandra Sarker, station master of Khulna railway station, reports the UNB.
Jute mill workers are enforcing a 72-hour strike and blockade programme to force the government accept their demands that include implementation of wage commission.
They announced blocking roads and railways from 8am-12pm during their protests.
