25 shops gutted in Khilgaon fire
Dhaka: At least 25 shops were gutted in a fire that broke out at two markets in the city’s Khilgaon area early Thursday, reports the UNB.
Deputy assistant director Kazi Najimozzaman of Fire Service and Civil Defense said the fire broke out at Khilgaon City Corporation Market around 3:15 am and engulfed the adjoining Pubali Shopping Market in the area.
On information, 15 firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 5:35 am.
The origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
