Dhaka: A kitchen market caught fire in the city’s Malibagh area early Thursday.

Mahfuz Riven, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence central control room, said the fire originated in a shop of Malibagh Kitchen Market around 5:27am.

On information, 12 firefighting units rushed in and brought the blaze under control around 6:35am, he said, reports the UNB.

What actually caused the fire is still not clear, Mahfuz said, adding that there was no casualty in the fire.
