Jhenidah: Four people, including a foreigner, received burn injuries in a blast at a factory at Achintanagar village in Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.

The injured were Frank Sevin, a Chinese national, Jalal Hossain, son of Shahjahan Mollah, Monir Jan, son of Mosarof Hossain of the village and Jobayer Hossain, 25, son of Solemon Mollah of Dhaka.

Hasan Hafizur, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a container exploded with a big bang at China-Bangladesh joint Taji Agro Industries Company around 8:30 am, leaving the four people injured.

The injured were admitted to Sadar Hospital.

Among the injured, condition of Frank Sevin and Monir Jan was stated to be critical.
