Dhaka: A fire broke out at a multi-storey building in the city’s Dhanmondi area on Saturday morning.

The fire originated at 9:25am at a 12-storey building on road No 6A beside the Eidgah ground, said Md Rashed, duty officer of Fire Service Central Control Room, the UNB reported.

Three firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to extinguish the fire, he added.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
