Habiganj: Three Ansar members were killed and 40 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck at Sutang on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning, reports local news agency.

The Shayestaganj highway police camp officer-in-charge Jakir Hossain said a bus carrying Ansar members, towards a training camp in Srimongal upazila of Moulvibazar from Brahmanbaria, collided with a truck in the area at about 9:30am, leaving Babul, Ziaul Haque, and Sajib Dhar, dead on the spot and 40 others injured.

Police and fire fighters went to the spot.

Some of the injured were admitted to Habiganj Sadar Adhunik Hospital.
