Motaleb Plaza fire brought under control
Dhaka: The fire that broke out at Motaleb Plaza at Dhaka’s Hatirpul on Wednesday morning has been doused after two hours of frantic efforts of firefighters.
Duty officer of the Fire Service Control Room Ataur Rahman said the fire originating from electric short circuit broke out on the fourth floor of the shopping mall at about 9:15am and spread soon.
On information, eleven firefighting units rushed in and extinguished the blaze.
No casualty was reported in the fire which damaged two shops in the shopping complex.
