Habiganj: A bus driver and his assistant were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Karanji Bridge area of Bahubal upazila on Friday, reports UNB.

Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bahubal Police Station, said the accident took place in the area at about 7:30am when a Sylhet-bound ‘Boisakhi Paribahan’ bus from Dhaka collided head-on with a local bus, leaving the local bus driver and his helper killed on the spot and 10 others injured.

Of the injured, two were rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

On information, police sent the bodies to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
