Magura: Two sisters were killed and two others including a rickshaw van driver were injured in a road accident in Jogodal area near Magura town Sunday afternoon.

Police said the accident took place when a utility vehicle hit a rickshaw van on the Magura-Narail Highway at about 2:00pm.

Two passengers of the rickshaw van— Maya Das, in her sixties, and her younger sister Durga Das, in her fifties, died on the way to hospital.

The injured persons —Sanatan, a minor boy, and van driver Saddam Hossain were sent to Magura Sadar hospital for treatment.

Sub-Inspector of Magura Sadar police station Arifur Rahman said a case was filed.
