Dhaka: A passenger bus overturned on the street near Postogola bridge edge on the city’s Shyampur area leaving one passenger killed and several others wounded this afternoon.

Duty officer of Shyampur Police Station Joynal Abedin told BSS that a Jatrabari-bound passenger bus coming from Mawa Ferry ghat overturned on the street when its driver lost control over the steering after reaching at the edge of Postogola Bridge on the River Buriganga.

“One unidentified passenger died on the spot. At least five others injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Some of the injured were given first-aid from nearby clinics,” he said.
