2 Jessore bomb blast victims die

Jessore: Two injured in an explosion at Sadar upazila of Jessore, which reportedly took place while making bombs, were died undergoing treatment at a hospital early on Thursday.

The Jessore Kotwali police officer-in-charge Ilias Hossain said the deceased are Abidul and Shabuj, residents of Bahadurpur village in the upazila.

Earlier, five people were injured while making bombs at the Andolpota area of Lebutola union of Jessore at about 8:00pm on Wednesday.

Police and local people said the explosion took place while a group of young men were making bombs at a room in Andalpota Haji Motiur Rahman Degree College.

The injured were Adibul Hossain, Shabuj, Mostofa, Rubel, and Rakib. They were taken to a private clinic. Later, they were shifted to Jessore Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

The hospital surgery expert Moniruzzaman Lord said three others are in critical condition.

However, the injured claimed a group of miscreants launched bomb attack while they were sitting at the Andolpota market area.
