Dhaka: A student of Dhaka College was killed as a bus knocked down him at Tikatuli intersection in Dhaka on Thursday morning.

The deceased is Arifur Rahman, believed to be in his early twenty, reported UNB.

Quoting witnesses, the Motijheel police Assistant Sub-inspector Roman said Arifur was going to his college riding a motorcycle.

When Arifur reached Tikatuli intersection, he was thrown out from the bike as the vehicle slipped.

Later, a passenger bus rammed him, leaving him injured.

He was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
