Dhaka: An official of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) was killed as a bus ran over him at Jasim Uddin Road in the city’s Uttara area on Saturday morning.

Assistant superintendent of police Mizanur Rahman of Rab Headquarters (Media Wing) said an unidentified bus ran over Habibur Rahman,41, warrant officer of the RAB headquarters (Intelligence) and a resident of Kosturipara village in Kalihati upazila of Tangail district, in the area while he was crossing the road at about 7:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Habibur joined the Bangladesh Army on October 8, 1992.

Later, he got posting in the RAB headquarters on August 11, 2015.
