Jessore: Police recovered the body of a man from a pond at Panchbaria village in Sadar upazila of Jessore district on Friday night, reports UNB.

Sub-inspector of Jessore Kotwali Police Station Biplob Hossain said locals spotted the body of Sahidur Rahman, 50, son of Abdul Gani Molla, a resident of the village, floating in the pond of one Tariqul Islam at night and informed police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that miscreants might have killed Sahidur and dumped the body in the pond, the SI added.
