Two killed under train wheels
Dhaka: Chittagong-bound passengers train Subarna Express on Sunday killed two people, including a minor boy, within the span of 20 minutes on the Dhaka-Chittagong railway road at Tejkunipara of Tejgaon and Moghbazar in Dhaka.
Officer-in-Charge of Government railway Police (GRP) Abdul Majid confirmed the news.
He said, ‘Jahidul Islam Joy, 8, a school student, died as the train hit him while crossing the rail line at about 3:20pm. Earlier, the same train hit Azhar Uddin, 45, an employee of Holy Family Hospital, killing him on the spot at Moghbazar rail crossing at about 3:10pm.’
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Two separate cases were filed with the railway police.
