Nilphamari: Three motorcycle riders were killed as two motorbikes collided head on at Chhakirbazar of Kishoreganj in Nilphamari on Monday.

The deceased are Masud Khan (25) and Abdul Quaium (19) of Pathanpara village under Magura union and Biplab Mia (30) of Donga village under Chandkhana union. Quaium is the son of Masud Khan’s paternal cousin.

Local people said Masud was taking his nephew, also an SSC examinee, to the upazial town riding a motorcycle while Biplop Mia, a former member of Border Guard Bangladesh, was returning to his home from the Kishoreganj town on motorbikes.

The motorcycles collided head-on and Biplob and Abdul Quaium were killed on the spot while Masud died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Kishoreganj police officer-in-charge Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the incident.
