Lakshmipur: Police recovered hanging body of a schoolgirl from her house at Hotatia village in Ramganj upazila on Monday night, reports UNB.

Ramganj police officer-in-charge Tota Miah said family members found the body of Fatema Akter Jannat, a class VII student of Hotatia High School and daughter of Idris Ali Patwari of the village, hanging from a tree on the rooftop of her house at night and informed police.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy on Tuesday morning.

The OC also said it would be clear whether it was a murder or suicide after getting the autopsy report.
