Sirajganj: Two people were killed and three others injured as a lorry rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Garadoho on the Bogra-Nagarbari Highway in Shahajadpur upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased are Chan Miah, a resident of Rambari, also a freedom fighter and Abdul Mannan.

The Hatikumrul highway police officer-in-charge Abdul Quader Zilani said the CNG-run auto-rickshaw was going to Ullahpara from Shahajadpur at noon.

When the auto-rickshaw reached Garadoho, a lorry rammed the three-wheeler at about 12:00noon, leaving Chan Miah and Mannan dead on the spot and three others injured.

Later, the injured were whisked off to a hospital, the OC added.

A case was filed in connection with the incident.
