Dhaka: The American Center at the US Embassy, Dhaka is now soliciting proposals for projects that improve social, educational, environmental, and economic conditions in Bangladesh, or support artistic and cultural activities.

The deadline for submitting grant applications is 17 May, 2015, said a media release on Tuesday.

Non-governmental organisations, non-profit organisations, foundations, trusts, community-based organisations (CBOs) and educational institutions - with legal standing in Bangladesh and the appropriate registrations with the US Government - are eligible to apply.

Funding requests can be as low as USD 3,000 (approximately 237,000 BDT) and should not exceed USD 25,000 (approximately 1,975,000 BDT).
