Mymensingh: Six passengers of a pick-up van were killed when a bus hit the van near Mymensingh Sadar upazila early on Tuesday.

At least 10 people were injured during the accident.

Identities of the victims could not be known immediately.

The injured were taken to Mymensigh Medical College Hospital.

The Kotwali Model police said both the bus and the pick-up van were heading towards Mymensingh from Dhaka. The bus rammed the pick-up van in Beltali area of Sadar upazila on Mymensingh-Dhaka Highway and left six people dead.

The Kotwali Model Police Officer-in-charge Mohammad Kamrul Islam said police and fire fighters went to spot and recovered the victims.
