Satkhira: The driver of a utility vehicle was killed as a bus hit his vehicle at Chandipur on the Shyamnagar-Satkhira Road in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira on Saturday morning.

The deceased is Hafizur Rahman, in his twenties, resident of Khagradana village.

The Shyamnagar Police Station Sub-inspector Shudhanghsu Kumar said Hafizur was returning to Shyamnagar with a consignment of chicken on the utility vehicle.

When he reached Chandinagar, a passenger-carrying bus of ‘Mamun Paribahan’ hit his vehicle at about 10:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, the body was sent to hospital for an autopsy.
