Trainee pilot Tamanna buried

Gazipur: Trainee female pilot Tamanna Rahman Rridi, who was burned to death as an aircraft caught fire in Rajshahi on Wednesday, was buried at the family graveyard at Kanaiya in the city on Thursday.
She was buried by her maternal grandfather’s grave following her 2nd namaz-e-janaza at Kanaiya Madrasha ground after Asr prayers, said her uncle Liakat Hossain, a deputy director of the Department of Films and Publications.
Earlier, Tamanna’s first janaza was held near her house at Nikunja-2 in the capital.
On Wednesday, the engine of a training aircraft caught fire at the Shah Makhdum Airport in Rajshahi while taking off at about 2:00pm, leaving Tamanna dead on the spot and instructor Syed Kamal injured with burns.
