3 killed in Manikganj road accidents

Manikganj: Three persons including two motor cycle riders were killed and 15 others injured in two separate road accidents in Manikganj on Dhaka-Aricha highway on Saturday, reports BSS.

Manikganj Police said first accident took place at about 7.45 am when a Paturia bound bus fell into a road side ditch near Muljan under Manikganj Sadar Upazila leaving one person killed on the spot and 15 persons injured.

The injured persons were admitted to Manikganj sadar hospital.

Barangail Highway Police said the second accident took place near Tepra bus stand under Shibalya Upazila. A Dhaka bound passenger bus of Purbasha Paribahan collided head on with a motor cycle coming from opposite directionat about 7.45 am. The rider and the person sitting behind him on the motor cycle died on the spot.

The victims were identified as Rajibul Hasan, 28, son of Alauddin of village Bhabanipur village and Alamgir Hossain, 25, son of Akkas Ali of Katrasing village under Shibalaya Upazila.

The bodies were sent to Manikganj sadar hospital morgue.
