Mymensingh: Two people were killed and five others injured as a truck hit a human hauler on Mymensingh-Haluaghat highway in Kachni area of Tarakanda upazila on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.

One of the deceased is Rafiqul Islam, 32.

The accident took place at about 2:00pm when the Haluaghat-bound truck rammed the Mymensingh-bound human hauler, leaving two passengers of the human hauler dead on the spot and five others injured, said Mazharul Haque, officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station.

Among the injured, three people were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
