Kishoreganj: Three people died and seven others were injured from electrocution at Nurpur in Itna upazila of Kishoreganj on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The deceased are Sajib, 55, Ramiz, 35, and Afaz Uddin, 20, hailing from Mithamoin upazila of the district.

Abdul Malek, officer-in-charge of Itna Police Station, said 10 people aboard a boat came in touch with a hanging live electric wire while going to Mithamoin upazila through a vast haor in the afternoon, leaving three killed on the spot and seven others injured.

The injured were taken to a local hospital.
