Narayanganj: A fire broke out at Haripur Power sub-station in Bandar upazila of Narayanganj in the early hours of Sunday.
The fire destroyed some of the vital machines in the power station.
However, there were no casualties.
The fire incident was reported at about 3:00am.
Fire service officials said seven units of fire fighters including Bandar, Postogola and EPZ fire service stations worked to douse the fire.
The fire was brought under control at about 7:00am, said the fire fighters.
The Bandar police Officer-in-charge Abul Kalam said the fire originated due to gas line leakage near the sub-station.
